曾主演《搏击会》的爱德华·诺顿和《杯酒人生》男主角保罗吉阿马蒂将共同主演一部名叫《魔术师》（The Illusionist）的电影。
《魔术师》的故事发生在1900年的维也纳，诺顿扮演的魔术师凭着他出神入化的技艺和狡黠的街头智慧赢得了苏菲公主的爱情，进而激怒了她的“原配”列奥波德王子。神乎其神的魔术表现是这部电影最大的卖点之一，著名魔术师廉历史学家里奇杰伊将担任该片的顾问。扮演苏菲公主的是《刀锋战士3》中的女主角杰西卡·贝尔。
本片制作人曾经制作过获奖电影《撞车》和《杯酒人生》。
